Last ever CF project at work

April 1, 2005 · 4 Comment s

I'm just about finished my last ever CF project here at work. From now on, we're .NET all the way. Whilst we wait to see what the bods upstairs do in regards budgets for financing all the new software, i.e. Studio.NET, I've been on the hunt for things to help me get a head start. So far I've found the ASP.NET Web Matrix IDE, which is a free download from www.asp.net, and there's some fairly decent tutorials on there too. Yes, as part of the big shift from CF->.NET we've so far been allocated hee-haw money for tools or training. The general consensus for the shift (other than because we got bought over) is that we're standardising on .NET because someone upstairs read it in a magazine. Our parent company have one .NET developer I believe, and the rest are Java or CF. Go figure. Anyway, all that goes on hold for now though as I'm off for a week and I intend to be completely cut off from the computer world.
