Novell, Novell, oh how I hate you

Since moving job 8 months ago, I've still not got used to going from a Windows network client environment to a Netware one. It just doesn't seem ... right. Add to this moving from an Exchange/Outlook email environment to a Groupwise one ... well I still don't care one iota for Groupwise. It's simply awful. You cannot easily add recurring appointments to your calendar (you have to script it), the email archiving mechanism is utterly woeful - look, it sucks OK! And then of course there is iChain. I've still to find/conjure/bullshit a good reason as to why we use this product. It uses Java and XML yet the code it produces still isn't even XHTML compliant. It's a freaking nightmare. Oh, and to add to the misery, Novell's support is awful. Even most of the people that work there don't seem to have a clue what's going on.
